Biography

Colleene P. Thomas is a fourth-year student at UW-Madison majoring in Political Science and Geography. She has served on university shared governance committees as a member of Associated Students of Madison, which is UW-Madison’s student government, and as a house fellow in the campus’s International Learning Community. Thomas has been a peer mentor, participated on a steering committee for the Alexander Meiklejohn Residential College, and served as a group leader for an undergraduate service trip to New Orleans. She has attended a number of conferences focusing on diversity in higher education and on increasing civic engagement among college students, and currently serves as a staff assistant to U.S. Congressman Jim Oberstar (Minnesota).
