Annual UW System LGBTQ Conference will bring together academics,
teachers, students, community leaders, activists, and others.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to examine, celebrate,

Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, and LGBTQ Issues.
Plan to be a part of it!
The Program Committees seek proposals addressing Women’s and Gender Studies and LGBTQ Research, Scholarship, Program Development, Pedagogy, Teaching, and Activism. As usual, a general focus on intersecting diversity issues and identities as well as presentations on educational and organizational practices/processes emerging as effective strategies and models for success are encouraged. Best practices and case studies suitable for replication (or to be avoided) are especially welcome, particularly as they relate to collaborative and cooperative strategies for Women’s and Gender Studies and LGBTQ educational advancement.
We particularly encourage panels which represent a diversity of experiences, perspectives, interdisciplinary or intergenerational approaches to topics.
Please send your proposal by the October 20, 2008 deadline. The Conference Planning Committees will be evaluating proposals immediately following the deadline and decisions will be made communicated in early January, 2009.
