The University of Wisconsin System, the Wisconsin Technical College System, the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction are jointly organizing a Global Education Conference for faculty, instructional staff and teachers interested in developing and/or showcasing innovative international programming in the curriculum. This year’s conference will focus on internationalizing the curriculum across the disciplines. The need for global literacy and knowledge is apparent: All of us operate in a context that transcends political borders. But how do we build intercultural skills, incorporate global learning and thinking, and integrate international experiences into all curricula? We welcome papers, posters, presentations, and roundtable discussions on all aspects of internationalizing the curriculum. In particular, we would like to highlight innovative faculty-led seminars, exchange programs, humanitarian experiences, short-term or long-term study abroad, internships etc. that address topics such as the following:
