National Academies Institutional Review Board. For advice
on the scientific issues that frequently pervade policy decisions,
the nation's leaders often turn to the institution that was specially
created for this purpose: the National Academy of Sciences and
its sister organizations -- the National Academy of Engineering,
the Institute of Medicine, and the National Research Council.

Office of Research Integrity.
The ORI promotes integrity in biomedical and behavioral research
supported by the Public Health Service (PHS) at about 4,000 institutions
worldwide.

National Council of University
Research Administrators. NCURA is an organization of individuals
involved in the administration of sponsored programs at colleges,
universities and teaching hospitals.

Public Responsibility in Medicine
& Research. PRIM&R seeks to advance strong research
programs and the consistent application of ethical precepts in
both medicine and research. Through national conferences and published
reports, it has addressed a broad range of issues in research,
clinical practice, ethics, and the law.
