It’s the Annual Benefit Enrollment (ABE) Period!
The Annual Benefit Enrollment (ABE) is October 7 - November 1, 2013. This is your annual opportunity to enroll in and make changes to your benefits. This is the only time during the year when you are able to make changes to your benefits unless you have an eligible family (e.g. marriage, birth, divorce...) or employment change. All changes made during ABE take effect on January 1, 2014.
How do I know if I need to do anything during the Annual Benefit Enrollment Period?
If you do nothing, almost all of the benefits you have now will continue in 2014. However, you must re-enroll in the Employee Reimbursement Account (ERA) program every year . You should confirm your current benefit plans are not making any changes, including your health insurance’s provider networks. See the individual plan pages for detailed information.
How Do I Know What Benefits I Have?
Go to the Benefit Information Box in the MyUW portal. Click the “View Benefits Summary Detail” link to see your current benefit enrollments.
Coverage levels for State Group Life, UW Employee's Inc., University Insurance Association and Income Continuation Insurance are not displayed correctly on the "View Benefits Summary Detail" page. You may contact your benefits office to confirm your coverage levels.
